The Pentax 70-150mm f4.5 Super Takumar-Zoom for M42 is a versatile and high-quality zoom lens. It offers a continuous focal length variability from 70mm to 150mm, making it ideal for fast action shooting at a distance. With scale markings for 80, 90, 105, 120, and 135mm, intermediate settings are naturally possible.
This lens features a combined zoom and focusing ring that allows for speedy operation. The Super Takumar-Zoom stands out for its impressive capacity to maintain sharpness and picture quality, typically a challenge for zoom lenses. It boasts 14 lens elements mounted in 12 groups, offering excellent resolving power and sharp focusing characteristics.
Additionally, the Super Takumar-Zoom is equipped with a fully automatic diaphragm. Furthermore, the zoom ring's movement can quickly adjust for zoom effect, and once focused, enables rapid shooting at different focal lengths. While the minimum focusing distance is 3.5m, the use of a special attachment lens can decrease this to 1.9m for close-up shots. This lens has a 67mm filter thread.
